As HPLL members know, reading is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Yet in Guilford County, one-fifth of adults cannot read well enough to comprehend above a third-grade level.
Reading Connections Executive Director Anne Tubough and Marketing Director Stevii Mills were the featured guests of the Literary League at the Spring Luncheon. Anne explained how Reading Connections empowers adults to change their lives through literacy by providing tutoring, small-group instruction, and workforce programs. This program impacts generations, strengthens families, and strengthens our community.
